League Rules
- Practice will start 1 hour before qualifying begins.
- All Drivers are required to use a first and last name to race. The first and last name must be entered in the last name section of the player info screen in the game. NO NICKNAMES.
- While not required, all drivers are encouraged to participate in practice as much as possible.
- All drivers are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times.
- All drivers are expected to signal when entering and exiting pit road.
Qualifying: - Please, no TS chatter while qualifying is in progress
- You may still join the race if you are unable to qualify.
Intentional and/or perceived intentional wrecking: Blatant contact is an automatic 100 point deduction for that particular series and a one month suspension for all 4WR events and one month of probation upon returning. Further contact may result in the driver in question being removed from 4WR permantly.
Start of the Race and Pacing
- It is each driver's responsibility to maintain a safe distance between yourself and all other cars around you.
Do not lag back, keep the pacing line tight. (aproximately .2 - .4 while pacing and .1 - .2 when going green) - The driver on the pole will lead the field and must start on green.
- We will allow ONE restart if there is a caution before the first lap is complete.
- Jump starting is not allowed and will be cause for a drive through pit lane penalty. Jump starting is defined
as intentionally creating a situation through such methods as lagging back or brake checking that allows a driver to maintain a large advantage in overtaking speed over the car in front as they cross the start finish line. If a car is slow at the start finish line due to a missed shift or simply not getting on the gas soon enough, it will not be ruled a jump start if other cars have to pass before or just after the start finish line. - If the game assigns you a black flag we will not take it away.
- NO PASSING ON THE {INSIDE} INTERING INTO TURN # 1 ON RESTARTS...UNTIL 10 TO GO.
- ON A RESTART INSIDE 10 TO GO NO DRIVER CAN PASS BEFORE THE START / FINISH LINE YOU MUST STAY SINGLE FILE.
Green Flag Conditions - Dive passing is not allowed. A driver cannot initiate a pass on a car after the car in front has begun his
entrance into the turn. The driver of the car behind must have position under the car in front well before the turn entrance. If this is not the case, the car behind must yield to the car in front and not attempt to gain position until after both cars have safely entered the turn. - It is the responsibility of the driver behind to execute a clean, safe pass. If you aren't 100% certain this
can be accomplished it is your responsibility to lift, and wait for a better opportunity to complete your pass. - If at any time you should see a car in front of you get in trouble, your first response should be to back off
and not to view this situation as one ripe for passing. - Keep your eye out for race chat pertaining to cars near you such as pit signals, and signs asking you to pass.
- Blocking is not allowed until the last 10 laps of a race.
- Blocking is defined as a driver aggressively changing his racing line in order to
block the momentum of an overtaking car. If a car has position under another car, the car being passed cannot alter his line in order to break the momentum of the passing car. A driver may not alter his racing line in any way with the intention of using his car as an obstacle for a car behind. In other words, hold your line!! - You are expected to drive the preffered line.
Lapped, Damaged or Slow Traffic:
All Drivers that are off the Pace or Laps down must "Yield" and give ALL lead lap cars the preferred racing line. If you are off the pace or laps down, please try to keep aware of "Lead Lap' cars that are approaching you. This way you may plan your line of action to allow those drives the preffered line. The "F2 key" is a valuable tool in this situation.
Pitting
- Each driver is responsible for signaling before entering the pits. This should be done while driving on the backstretch. You're required to signal under green flag conditions.
- Do NOT signal pit entry or exit while under caution. The Officials need the chat line clear.
- Make certain you enter the pits safely. If not, the sim has provisions for taking care of you via the black flag.
- While Entering and Exiting Pit Road stay to the "RIGHT LANE ONLY" in single file, until you reached your pit box. Do Not cut through other pit box's upon entering or exiting pit road. The middle lane on pit road is a transition lane to merge into or out of your pit stall . When exiting pit lane, utilize the F2 key to identify approaching pit road traffic. It is "YOUR" responsibility to exit pit lane in an orderly and safe manner. Maintain pit road speed while entering and exiting pit road.
Yellow flag Conditions
- When taking the yellow flag, all drivers are expected to lift off the gas and coast until the
backstretch. At that time you may slow down and wait for the pace car. - All drivers are expected to stay in line at all times during caution and to maintain a
0.2 - 0.4 second gap between all cars. - There is absolutely no excuse for crashing into another car while under caution. If you cause a
collision during a caution lap, the officials will issue a severe penalty. - Upon restarting, passing is allowed after the s/f line.
- If there is a caution with 10 laps or less remaining in the race, all cars 1 or more laps down are expected to pass-through the pits to allow those on the lead lap to race each other for the win. The pass-through should be done prior to the "one-to-go" signal to restart the race. If you are at the tail end of the lead lap it is your discretion whether to pass-through the pits or not and gives you a chance to get back on the lead lap if there is another caution. Do not hold up the lead lap cars if they are faster then you after the restart.
- If there is a caution with 10 laps or less remaining in the race we WILL race back to the caution.
- The Lucky Dog rule is in effect. The first driver that is one lap down or more, that did not cause the yellow flag or was in the wreck will be the Lucky Dog.
- The Lucky Dog needs to pit along with all other lapped drivers but needs to be the last one out of the pits.
- If other drivers continue to pit during the caution, the Lucky Dog needs to pit along with them and continue to be at the end of the longest line. This should continue until the "One-to-Go" signal is given. You will receive one lap back after the green flag is waved.
- Lucky Dog rule is NOT in effect with 10 laps to go.
- Incident Rule: Contact between other drivers is discouraged. In most cases accidents involving contact between drivers is avoidable. Patience and exercising veteran driving skills helps a lot here. 4WR encourages the driver at fault to claim responsibility by typing a "C" in the simulations chat. Furthermore, we expect the responsible driver to secure the EOLL penalty. You must continue to pit, (and speed) each caution lap. You must be the last vehicle on the field when the green flag is shown. A driver(s) will be allowed two (2) "C"s during an event. After the second "C" , the driver will be asked to park their vehicle for the remainder of the event.
- If you have a SELF spin and make NO CONTACT with another car or no other cars wreck because of your spin then you will be allowed a 3rd incident point....you will still have a EOLL penalty. After the third self spin you must park it for the night.
- If you self spin and the race continues under green, you are expected to yield to other drivers until your vehicle back up to speed. There is no incident penalty.
- All drivers are expected to drive onto pit road, find their respective pit stall, and park there
after the race is complete. - Leader can perform post race celebration at the s/f line!
- All drivers should export a copy of the results just in case there is a problem that needs to be reviewed.
- Post Race Inspection could happen every night or at random. The top 3 finishers or finishers at random (admin discission) will need to pull to the start finish line after the race and line up side by side. Switch to the chase view by pressing the page down or up button. At this point all 3 drivers should be able to see all 3 cars on the screen. Each driver will then press the F5 button to pull up there tire wear indicator on the screen and take a screenshot by pressing Print Screen on your keyboard. (find it and practice using it offline) The screen shot will then be put in your NASCAR Racing 2003 folder on your computer, the file will be named NR2003ss001.tga The file name will increase in number if you keep hitting the print screen key on your keyboard (example NR2003ss002.tga, NR2003ss003.tga) the highest number will be the last time that you hit the print screen key. There is no indication when you hit the print screen key in the game, you have to assume that it took the screenshot and go to your folder and look. Thats why I say go practice offline. Once you have the screen shot you will need to email it to an admin the night of the race. A sample screenshot can be viewed here, http://www.4wheelzracing.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=2168 IF YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE US WITH A SCREENSHOT THERE WILL BE A PENALTY, NO EXCEPTIONS!
- You will be responsible for letting a 4WR ADMIN know if you want a provisional, and this must be done before each race, request after the race will not be accepted.
- You will recieve 75 points for a provisional.
- If there are more than 29 cars in the field you will get points for the last position 30-43 whatever that may be. 30th is 73 points and it falls 3 points each position.
The types of Incidents are as follows: Self Spin Self induced loss of car control to the point where a caution or damage to another car results
Collision Incident At fault for contact with another car resulting in a yellow or damage to another car
Not Lifting Incident At fault for collision due to not lifting or piling into a wreck ahead of the driver.
Blocking Incident At fault for causing a yellow or damage due to blocking another car.
Collision Under Yellow Incident At fault for contact while under caution resulting in damage to another car
Other Incidents Types Jump Starting, Passing below yellow line if not allowed, Warp collision, and violating any other rules outlined in the rulebook or pre race drivers meeting.

Wrecks will happen, even with the best drivers. Mistakes will happen; count on it. Please show good sportsmanship and refrain from showing your frustration to others. If you are involved in an incident(s), first assume it was warp and save any comments for later.
On Track Protests: Protests cannot be made during the race. All drivers have to obey the officials at all times. Officials will make mistakes, everyone will just have to live with that fact. If there is a problem with one of the Admin Staff then simply contact a different one if you wish.
The LATEST a protest can be made is up until 48 hours after the Incident list is published. The EARLIEST a protest will be accepted is 12 hours after the race is completed. There is a mandatory cooling off period for 12 hours following any race. Any email received requesting a protest before then will be sent back to the driver unread and ignored.

File your complaint with ANY of the Admin Staff.
All Cautions will be reviewed automatically. Not all cautions will result in penalties.
POINTS MAY BE DEDUCTED FOR VIOLATING THESE RULES.
All rules not explicitly described above will be determined based at the sole discretion of the Admin Staff and are subject to change. Respect - Patience - Fun! Remember that you are responsible for your car at all times. We are all here for fun. Please help to keep our racing caution free!
